Amathus was one of the first companies in Cyprus to look to the skies and anticipate a bright future in air transportation.  In late 1947, Amathus was appointed General Sales and Handling Agent for Hellenic Airlines SA and the Aviation Division was established with the principle aim to develop and promote air travel to and from the island.  In 1957, Hellenic Airlines SA was bought by shipping tycoon Aristotle Onasis, who renamed the company to Olympic Airways.  Today, Amathus continues its strong tradition in the aviation industry and is the general passenger and cargo sales agent for a number of reputable airlines including Olympic Airlines, Emirates, SAS, and Aer Lingus.  Amathus is also a key partner in Hollandia Aviation Ltd, the GSA of Air France/KLM.

In line with its commitment to providing a complete and comprehensive service to its Principals, the Division operates offices in all towns strategically located and manned by experienced and highly skilled professionals.  A dynamic and innovative sales team provides island-wide coverage for the airlines and ensures the continuous support of the travel community.

Cargo services are provided through a specialized department handling incoming and outgoing cargo.  The department works in close partnership with freight forwarders and local trade organizations and is renowned for its reliability and professionalism.
